Axel the Vamploid

Hailing from an alternate universe where Mavericks are good and the Hunters are evil, Axel is the negative equivalent of black armored Axl. His vampric condition originated in a chance encounter with the main MMX-verse Sigma Virus, which proved nearly fatal. Now, he wanders from his home world to the main one and back again, feeding off of the vital energy of living reploids so that he may stay only partially alive...

His personality is quite different from Axl's. He is sadistic, quirky and self-obsessed, and is not above flirting with others to get what he wants. Axel has a most unsettling habit of "playing with his food", of which most of the other Anti-Hunters -the Evil X in particular- do not approve.



This image was quite the learning experience for me; I very rarely draw people from the back. I also experimented with more complex shading and lighting effects. All in all, I am pleased with how he turned out.
